As either a high school athlete or the parent of a high school athlete who aspires to play for a collegiate program, it is extremely important to know and understand the steps that need to be taken to make sure that the athlete is eligible by NCAA Standards.

The Coach suggests that athletes and parents spend a little bit of time looking at the portion of the be Recruited Advice area focused on NCAA eligibility information. This information is also available on the right side of the Advice home page.

This year, the NCAA has decided to move what used to be called the NCAA Clearing House to Indianapolis, and it is now called the NCAA Eligibility Center. After looking through the information, if an athlete or parent has any further questions regarding academic or amateurism eligibility issues, they should contact the NCAA Elgibility Center.
